What private car service to Red Rocks costs

The number that matters more than the rate is what the rate includes. Drive time and wait time are both inside it, which is the whole point on a concert night: your driver is not sitting on a meter while you are inside watching a show. Tolls are included in the quote. Gratuity is not included and is never added automatically.

For a group of four to six splitting one vehicle, run the figure per person before deciding it is the extravagant option. On a sold-out Friday, with surge pricing in both directions and a walk down to a crowded pickup lot in between, the gap is usually narrower than people assume.

Why a private driver beats driving yourself or a rideshare

Not for comfort. For three specific venue rules that decide how your evening ends.

Where you are dropped. Limousine and private car drop-off at Red Rocks is the Top Circle Lot via Entrance 1, high in the park and close to the gates. That is the drop point whether you arrive as the lots open or twenty minutes before the headliner. If you drive yourself, Traffic Control assigns you a space on arrival and you walk from wherever that turns out to be. Arriving late means parking low and climbing.

Where the car waits. A vehicle that fits inside a standard parking space may park in any available lot on a first-come, first-served basis and stay onsite through the event. That matters because Red Rocks does not hold spaces for vehicles that leave and come back, and idling or circulating through the park roads during a performance is not permitted. A driver who stays is parked and ready. A car summoned afterwards is starting from outside the park, along with everyone else’s.

When the gate closes. Vehicle entry to the park ends nightly at 8:30 p.m., or earlier at the discretion of operations staff. After that cut-off, every passenger pickup happens in the Jurassic Lot, just inside Entrance 2 off Highway 93, for private cars, taxis and rideshare alike. The walk down is the same for everybody. The difference is whether there is a known car and a known name at the bottom of it, or an app, a surge multiple, and a few thousand other people doing exactly what you are doing.

The venue’s recommended walking route to the Jurassic Lot is the Will Call Trail across from the Trading Post, then down Red Rocks Park Road. We tell passengers this at drop-off rather than letting them work it out in the dark.

Groups, and the vehicle size rule that catches them out

Our SUVs seat up to six passengers. For larger parties we run more than one vehicle on the same schedule.

There is a rule worth knowing before you book anything large. Red Rocks classes any vehicle measuring 6 feet 5 inches wide at the front or the back as an oversized vehicle, and oversized vehicles must drop off, park and collect in Lower South Lot 2, at the bottom of the park, in both directions. That definition captures buses, RVs and party bus limousines.

It is worth knowing if anyone is quoting you a bus or an oversized vehicle for the night, because that classification changes where you are dropped and where you walk to at the end of the show. Two SUVs often give a group of ten a better evening than one large vehicle does.

Groups traveling on a vehicle with capacity for at least 24 passengers that is at least 85 percent full can apply directly to Red Rocks for an Upper North Lot reservation, at least 48 hours ahead. Reservations are first come, first served and are not guaranteed.
